## Reference calculation tests
1. 12 ft 7 3/8 in + 8 ft 11 3/4 in = 21 ft 7 1/8 in.
2. 16 ft - 9 ft 7 5/8 in = 6 ft 4 3/8 in.
3. Common rafter, 12 ft horizontal run at 6:12 pitch: geometric length 13.4164 ft, about 13 ft 5 in; no ridge/overhang adjustment.
4. Stair example, 105 in total rise, maximum 7.75 in per riser, 10 in tread run: 14 risers at 7.5 in; 13 treads, 130 in total run with an upper landing. Not code approval.
5. Slab 10 × 10 ft × 4 in: 1.234568 yd³ base; 1.296296 yd³ at 5% allowance; 59 bags at a selected 0.60 ft³/bag. Check the product label.

## Real workflow checks
- Turn airplane mode on and test core arithmetic and local calculators. Note unavailable online services.
- Save and reopen a job; check title, expression, result, units, assumptions and notes.
- Export a calculation PDF and an estimate PDF; open the actual file and inspect line items, rounding, markup and tax.
- Test bright-light readability on your actual hardware. Do not claim measured time savings unless you timed a reproducible task.
- If testing sync, verify metadata on a second device; attachment files stay on their source device.
- Check Pro access and the actual purchase screen. Free download does not mean unlimited free app use.
- Compare a familiar alternative on the same job. Report limitations as well as useful behavior.

## Media provenance and permission
Six MP4s are 24-second captioned sequences from real app screenshots, prepared October 30, 2026. They are not live tap recordings. Some screenshots were captured earlier; current UI may differ. Sample customer/job names are built-in app fixtures. Captions and full transcripts accompany each clip.
