Policy details

How information is handled right now

This page reflects the current project behavior. If the app later adds sync, analytics, or other hosted features, this policy will be updated before those changes ship.

01

Information stored on your device

HikeList stores task text, reminder times, selected companion, selected color theme, and basic paywall state locally on your device so the app can function as expected.

02

Notifications and reminders

If you enable reminders, the app asks iOS for notification permission. Reminder alerts are scheduled through Apple system frameworks on your device. You can turn notifications off later in iOS Settings.

03

Purchases and subscriptions

Pro purchases, subscriptions, restores, and entitlement checks are handled through Apple StoreKit and the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card information.

  • Monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple.
  • Lifetime unlock purchases are also processed by Apple.
  • Apple may process purchase-related data under its own policies.

04

Data sharing and tracking

We do not sell personal information. The current app does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or analytics SDKs.

05

Retention and deletion

Data stored by the app remains on your device until you remove it by deleting tasks in the app or deleting the app from your device.

06

Children and contact

HikeList is a general productivity app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. For privacy questions or data requests, contact manhnt.bkit@gmail.com.

If this policy changes in a material way, the effective date on this page will be updated. The goal is simple: keep the app useful without turning it into a data-heavy service.
