BidMeasure private field notes stored with project records

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how BidMeasure (“the app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the BidMeasure iOS or iPadOS app, its support pages, and its marketing website. BidMeasure is designed to keep construction calculations and project content under your control.

Information handled by the app

BidMeasure can store calculation history, preferences, estimates, business profile details, client and job details, project notes, checklists, imported files, photos, videos, and generated reports. This content is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up.

BidMeasure does not require a developer-hosted user account. We do not operate a server that receives your project workspace simply because you use the app.

Optional iCloud backup

If you choose the compact iCloud backup feature, eligible workspace data is stored using Apple’s iCloud key-value service associated with your Apple account. Apple processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. Compact backup may exclude large workspaces and attachments; it is not a replacement for exporting important records.

Photos, files, maps, and device permissions

  • Photos and files: accessed only when you choose items to attach, import, or export.
  • Maps: map-based measurement uses locations you place or select in the interface. BidMeasure does not use that information for advertising.
  • Notifications: used only for app features you enable, if applicable.

You can manage permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Removing permission may limit the related feature.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We receive purchase entitlement information needed to unlock features, but we do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple’s privacy policy governs App Store payment processing.

Website analytics

Our public website may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate page visits, device/browser characteristics, approximate region, referral source, and interactions. Google may use cookies or similar technologies. This website information is separate from the project content stored in the BidMeasure app.

How information is used

  • Provide calculators, projects, estimates, backups, exports, and purchase access.
  • Respond to support or privacy requests you send us.
  • Diagnose bugs using details you voluntarily provide.
  • Maintain security and understand public website performance.

We do not sell your project content or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

Sharing and disclosure

Information may be shared when you direct the app to export or share it, with Apple for iCloud or App Store services you use, with website analytics providers, when required by law, or when necessary to protect rights and security. Anyone receiving an exported report or team package may retain a copy.

Retention and deletion

You can delete local projects, calculations, notes, attachments, and app data through the app or by deleting the app. You control optional iCloud data through your Apple account and device settings. Emails you send to support may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Because BidMeasure does not require a developer-hosted account, there is no separate BidMeasure cloud account to delete. For help, contact us using the address below.

Children’s privacy

BidMeasure is a professional utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-hosted account.

Security and international use

We use reasonable safeguards for systems under our control, but no device, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. If you contact us from another country, your support message may be processed where we operate or where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will publish the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
