Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy describes how FlashSRS, provided by Manh Nguyen under the Mathspace app portfolio, handles information in the app and on its product, support, and legal pages. This policy covers the current version, where remote server sync is disabled.

Learning data stays on your device

Your decks, notes, flashcards, card media, answers, review history, schedules, study statistics, and preferences are stored locally on your device. FlashSRS does not require a developer-hosted account. We do not receive your collection merely because you study.

The app does not integrate advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not use your learning data for targeted advertising.

Files, backups, and folders you choose

Import reads the file you select. Export and local-folder transfer write collection data and media to the destination you choose. Copies can include private card content and review history. If you choose a cloud-storage folder or share a file with another person, that provider or recipient handles the copy under its own policies.

Local backups remain on your device unless you save a copy elsewhere. Remote server sync is not offered in the current version.

Purchases through Apple

Apple processes purchases, subscriptions, and payment information through the App Store and StoreKit. FlashSRS receives product and transaction/entitlement information needed to determine Pro access, restore purchases, and manage subscription status. We do not receive your full payment-card information. Apple handles information for its services under its privacy policy.

When you contact support

When you email manhnt.bkit@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as your message, app/device details, or screenshots. We use this information to respond and troubleshoot your request. Share only what is needed and remove private card content or personal details from screenshots.

Support messages may be retained as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, maintain relevant support records, and meet applicable obligations. You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you sent.

This public website

These FlashSRS pages do not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, contact forms, or third-party font requests. The website is hosted through Firebase Hosting. Hosting and network providers may process standard request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, time of access, and security or diagnostic logs, to deliver and protect the site.

Following a link to Apple or another external website is subject to that website's privacy practices.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your learning data. Information may be shared when you choose to export or send it, with providers that operate the website or support email, or when disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights and security. The app does not automatically upload your collection to our servers.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or remove cards in the app and remove local app data by deleting the app. Deleting the app may also remove in-app backups. Files you exported, device backups, and copies stored with other providers are managed separately by you and those providers. There is no separate developer-hosted FlashSRS account to delete.

Support cannot recover data that was stored only on your device. Export important collections before deleting the app or erasing a device.

Younger learners

FlashSRS can be used for local studying without sending collection content to the developer. Parents and guardians should help younger learners choose appropriate decks and manage purchases or support communications. Please avoid sending a child's personal information in a support request. Contact us if you believe such information was sent so we can address it.

Security and processing locations

Device security, storage-provider controls, and your choice of recipients affect the security of your collection. We use reasonable safeguards for support information under our control, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Website request data and support communications may be processed in locations where the relevant providers operate.
